We went to this restaurant shortly after it opened a few years ago and were not impressed with the cold service and mediocre food. We tried again, a number of months later and had the same experience. Recently we decided to give it another chance, thinking that over time comes experience and maybe, just maybe, things had improved. We were very much impressed with the friendly service - totally opposite to the last two times some years ago. The ambiance is sensational given the various styles this local has. When you come through the front door the layout has the feel of a Bavarian restaurant with its wooden pick-nick style chairs and tables. As you proceed through the next door you find yourself in a very comfortable, cozy area with stylish tables and chairs. Further into the restaurant you find yourself in the bar area which is very modern and, well, beautiful. This restaurant has its own brewery which is definitely a big plus point. The food was not so impressive, however. We had the schnitzel with a mushroom sauce with potato wedges. We asked if they used ready made sauces and were assured that everything is freshly made and it was. The mushroom sauces stadtperle aurich very good.
